Covenant Day School is a Christian private school in Charlotte, North Carolina. The mission of Covenant Day School is to assist the Christian family by providing an education marked by a Biblical worldview, academic excellence, and affordability so that students are equipped to be salt and light for God’s glory. Covenant Day follows the Presbyterian denomination.[1]

Academics

Covenant Day presents a challenging curriculum for students in transitional kindergarten through twelfth grade with the goal of preparing students for a successful future. Christian ideas are incorporated into this education. Covenant Day is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, as well as Christian Schools International. [2]

Athletics

Covenant Day currently competes on the 3A level of the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association as a member of the Metrolina Athletic Conference. The swim team won the 2008 state championship on this level, the team's third championship. In its years of varsity sports, Covenant Day has had three consecutive wins in the NCISAA Wachovia Cup Championship, which recognizes overall excellence in sports.

Fall sports are men's soccer, women's volleyball, women's tennis, and cross-country. Swimming, basketball, and cheerleading occur during the winter. Baseball, softball, women's soccer, men's tennis, track and field, and golf are offered in spring. Most sports are offered on the varsity and middle school levels, and several occur on the junior varsity level.[3]
